Exemptions that do not require a Short-Term Vacation Rental permit are if the property is a Hotel or Motel, operates as a Bed and Breakfast Inn, or only hosts long-term stays (30-night minimum stay or more.)
All exceptions besides the long-term stay with a 30 night-minimum occupancy are required to meet all specific standards set through the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Code for a Hotel, Motel, or Bed and Breakfast Inn.
Anyone who claims an exemption for a Bed and Breakfast Inn in Rancho Cucamonga is required to first meet all standards based on the Land Use and Zoning qualifications for their property. The operating business will then be required to obtain and hold a valid Minor-Use Permit issued through the City Planning Department, hold a current San Bernardino County Health Department permit for all food handling, and keep a current and valid Business License from the Rancho Cucamonga Business Licensing Department.
