Beryl Park East Accessible Playground

The City of Rancho Cucamonga is pleased to announce the construction of an inclusive accessible playground at Beryl Park East, the City’s first all-accessible playground. The playground is designed to allow children of all abilities to play together, promoting health and wellness through memorable experiences.

Featured equipment includes an adaptive swing, accessible disc swing, Inclusive Whirl (accessible merry-go-round), “RoxAll” (accessible see-saw), gentle slope ramps, multiple interactive and sensory elements, shade structures, ground level poured in place rubberized surface, and more!

Other project elements include accessibility enhancements to the restrooms and parking lot, as well as a new crosswalk at Beryl Street and Highland Avenue.

The project is funded in part by the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation Proposition 68 Parks and Water Bond Act and City of Rancho Cucamonga.

On Friday, April 26, the community gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking on this important project. Construction is expected to begin in May 2024 with the project completed in September 2024.
